Unveiling Mozambique's Vibrant Soul through Sebastiao Coana's Art
This exhibition, celebrating the Mozambique Peace And National Reconciliation Day at the Mozambique Embassy in Paris, invites you to embark on a visual journey through the captivating world of Sebastiao Coana, a young Mozambican artist whose canvases come alive with a symphony of colors and a profound sense of harmony.
Sebastiao Coana's art is a testament to the rich tapestry of Mozambique's cultural heritage and creativity. Coana expresses his subjects through thick applications of paint and a diverse color palete. This results in a textured canvas with a range of warm and dark colors. The women of Mozambique are the focus of many of the works, expressed by Coana’s unique usage of paint and color.
Harmony in Hues features 23 curated pieces that serve as a testament to Coana's dedication to art as a means of social inclusion and expression. Each piece tells a story – a story that reflects the artist's vision and perspective on life.
This exhibition is a celebration of Mozambique's contemporary art, a testament to the artist's creative genius, and a reminder of the power of art to transcend boundaries and bring people together in a harmonious celebration of life's myriad colors.
We invite you to immerse yourself in the symphony of colors, textures, and emotions that Sebastiao Coana has masterfully composed. Experience Mozambique's soul through his eyes, and join us in celebrating the vibrant harmony of the Mozambican people.
