"Paris to Host its First All-Female Rap Line-Up Event: MADAME Hip/Hop at Metaxu"

MUSECLIQUE, a collective formed by our MBA Performing Arts & Entertainment Management students, proudly presents MADAME Hip/Hop, the first-ever all-female rapper line-up music showcase in Paris.

Set to electrify Metaxu, Pantin's vibrant cultural hub on September 25, 2024 at 19:30, this night celebrates the diverse subgenres of hip-hop and the unstoppable spirit of French female rappers.

MADAME Hip/Hop will feature raw conversations on 50 years of French hip-hop, highlighting women's roles in the genre, gender equality, and today’s music industry challenges faced by women all over the world. The evening includes two thrilling live concerts by emerging rap artists STUNT & Syamka, followed by an exclusive DJ set from locally renowned Skyleia.

We are honored to announce Uzi Freyja, winner of the prestigious 2023 Chorus Award, as our spotlight speaker. With a growing career that has reached major French and European festivals, Uzi Freyja is a madame who embodies the fusion of hip-hop vocals, punk fury, and experimental electro sounds.

“Hip-hop is the nation’s 2nd most popular genre and this event is about empowering the next generation of female hip-hop artists and giving them the space they deserve,” says Darnell Sharperson, MBA, Artistic Director for MUSECLIQUE.

Tickets for MADAME Hip/Hop are on sale now, priced at 6 EUR for students and 8 EUR for general admission, available at MADAME Hip/Hop’s official website. Check out the official Spotify playlist, curated with tracks from our featured artists and more.
