Art Basel is one of the largest art fairs and attracts art galleries, artists, collectors and art enthusiasts from around the world! It features over 200 leading galleries and more than 4,000 artists from five continents. Many high-quality exhibitions take place during that week in and around Basel making it an epicenter for the artworld in the region.
The study trip to Basel during this week in June was organized for our MBA Arts & Cultural Management students with professors Lassla Esquivel, Audrey Illuoz and Maria Brazina.
The students discovered the Unlimited section which is dedicated to installations at Art Basel for their first visit and went on to discover the newly introduced Kabinnet section as well as the rest of the fair on other days.
The trip also included visits to important contemporary art institutions such as Fondation Beyeler and Kunsthalle Basel to view the on-going exhibitions.
